What is Family Life Education

What is Family Life Education?: As defined by NCFR (the head of Family Life Education), Family Life Education is a "preventative and educational activities including program development, implementation, evaluation, teaching, training, and research related to individual and family well-being." In order to be a Family Life Educator, you must have taken classes in ten areas involving families including, Families in Society, Internal Dynamics of Families, Human Development, Human Sexuality, Interpersonal Relationships, Family Resource Management, Parent Education, Family Law and Policy, and Marriage Education.

As FLE's we are looking to educate in order to prevent the decay of the family through education. We are devoted to the keeping families happy and helping to keep and create strong family relationships. FLE's respect various family values and is based on the needs of individuals and families. Family Life Education takes an educational approach rather than a therapeutic approach.
